The Northern Virginia Sleep Diagnostic Center provides state-of-the-art facilities; staffed by board certified physicians and other highly trained medical professionals who specialize in helping people with persistent sleep problems. The Center is owned and operated by Pulmonary and Critical Care Specialists of Northern Virginia.
According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, a majority of Americans say they experience frequent sleep problems and nearly one-quarter report daytime sleepiness that often interferes with work and other activities.
Millions of people seek and receive help with their sleep problems each year. Yet, many ignore their problems and continue to suffer unnecessary discomfort.
Left untreated, sleep problems can contribute to strokes, heart attacks, high blood pressure, clinical depression, diabetes and other serious health concerns. In addition, more than 100,000 automobile crashes and 1,500 deaths a year are attributed to drowsy driving.
Individuals can vastly improve their sleep, overall health and quality of life by better understanding sleep, practicing good sleep hygiene, recognizing the signs of sleep disorders and seeking proper treatment.
* Patients under the age of 18 must have an adult stay with them during an in-office sleep study.
The Northern Virginia Sleep Diagnostic Center is accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
